As per, this, I had to choose my Top Five pairs of eyes. I did a picspam along with it, because it's always good to have back-up proof, right? So this entry is picture heavy. They're thumbnails, but I'm still warning just in case!

Oh, and in case you couldn't guess, I have PLENTY of other people on this list. This is just the top five right now. There were some I didn't add in, but sigh. Some other time. ;)

Christian Bale. I'm starting this off with him as a 'welcome home' thing for my Noey. ;) His eyes/stare just makes me squee like a fangirl, so he's obviously in the list. *g*

Hugh Laurie. I don't watch House as much as I'd like for one reason or another, but I do catch it every now and then. It's a great show, but Hugh Laurie is a big, BIG reason why I watch it. His eyes are just...guh. There are no words. The intensity in his stare is just. Guh.

Sophia Bush. Yeah, one girl in the bunch of guys but her eyes are too gorgeous not to mention. She's one of my girl!crushes. She's overused for PBs, but sigh. I love her eyes. So, she gets mentioned.

Gary Oldman. What can I say about this man other than the fact that I love him, he's absolutely gorgeous, and his eyes are amazing? Oh I guess I can just say that, huh? ;) Only one man can give Sirius Black his puppy eyes, and it's this man right here. I mean, look at him!

Robert Downey Jr.. ...what, you didn't think I wouldn't include HIM, did you? I even broke the rule for him because, instead of posting five pictures, he gets ten. >.> Granted, I have more pics of him than the people previously mentioned, and I had an even worse time picking pics of him, therefore more pictures. What can I say about him that I haven't gushed about? He's so beautiful. His eyes are fucking gorgeous. That stare of his? OMFG. AND even if his eyes are covered up in glasses or sunglasses, he looks amazing. No, and that is NOT cheating, thank you. >.> <.<

I was going to post this when I got home, but screw it.

A review for DK kind of opened the lid for some things that have been on my mind lately, so you know what, I'm going to post that now. It's comic book stuff related and its fandoms, but I think generally it can probably cover ALL fandoms.

I can't say I'm an expert in the comic book fandom. I don't pretend to be one. I have muses from comic books, sure, but I'm no expert. When I was younger the way I knew about all that would be through the cartoon shows, not about the actual comics, so I can't say that I've known all along what the storylines have been. I do know the rough outlines of the characters, though. X-Men used to be part of my daily routine, followed by Batman and a bunch of other ones. So I guess, if that counts, I sort of know what I'm talking about when I judge how they are portrayed in movies, and then how they are portrayed by fans.

Let me say this: As a fan, I find it absolutely hilarious (in the mocking, omg WTF kind of way) that some people think of comic book characters as light and any sort of fluffy. Sure, they are cartoons. Sure, they were aimed primarily for children once upon a time. But, you know, those children grew up. And as they grew up, the two-dimensional characters grew up, too. The enemies had to become darker in order to keep up with the times, and in turn so did the heroes. What a concept, right? Character development, go figure.

Comic book characters are not light and fluffy. They are pretty freakin' dark, because you have to take into account what they face on a daily basis. You have to take into account what made the villains turn into villains. Crane, for example - he had a pretty screwed up childhood. He was abandoned by his mother (well, and dad too but it was his mother the one that left him where he grew up), abused by his grandmother, picked on constantly while growing up, killed his mother on mother's day... I mean, seriously. Where does light and fluffy play into account there? And then, our hero. Batman. He saw his parents getting killed. If THAT doesn't screw up a child, what does??

I'm so tired of seeing characters that are originally pretty damn dark getting played as if they aren't. For that reason alone, 95% of the time I absolutely ABHOR sws. I'm also so tired of people getting the idea that comic book characters are simple just because they are from comics, and they are cartoons. Guess what? That doesn't matter. Sure, our ratings for the comic book movies are usually PG-13, but that doesn't mean they are for kids. If I was a parent I would think twice before taking my kid to DK (well, depending on the age) because of how dark it looks, but you know what? THat's how it's supposed to be. We remember what happened to the last Batman movies, right? They kept getting dorkier and quirkier, and what happened? They stopped making them until Bale stepped in. And look at what happened when THAT was made: The fandom picked up, people LOVED Batman, and it's a hit.

Oh, and Iron Man? It may not be as dark as Batman, but the guy still has his layers. He has his ghosts to deal with. He's the popular playboy, but he's also the alcoholic that sinks into the bottle for some sort of safety. Tony Stark is quirky, but he's not light and fluffy. Trust me, he isn't. If he was, I wouldn't be interested in writing him. I would NOT be interested in the movie. I mean, really, you guys know me, right? You know the type of characters I like, and the type of characters I pick up.

Ultimately, people who know nothing about the fandom (any and all) should put a lid on it because I'm getting so damn tired of dealing with certain "fans." With the internet having everything at hand, there is absolutely no excuse (AT ALL) to say you don't know something when research is really your best friend. So, really, fuckin QUIT IT. Fandom needs to stop attracting stupid, ignorant people. And with the movies being so popular there's people picking up the pups left and right because of the actors or because they watched it once and omg they loved it, but ugh. UGH. People get on my nerves sometimes, clearly. And, today, it's one of those days.

1. Best movie in the theater at the moment?
I know my answer for this will SHOCK you all, but... Iron Man. ;) It's snarky, it's fun, it's action packed... And RDJ wears a wifebeater for like half of it. What's not to like??

2. Best movie to watch at home at the moment?
I'm looking forward to my Netflix envelopes getting here tomorrow. I have A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints and Wonder Boys coming, so those.

3. Best movie to watch when you need a laugh?
Lately it's been Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. It's a freakin' hilarious movie. XD

Er, "need"? @_@ One that always gets to me is Finding Neverland. Or the veil scene in OotP.

5. Popcorn: Butter or no?
Depends. If it's at home, from the microwavable kind, I love the buttered popcorn. If it's at the theatres, I never put butter on it.

Hehe, today wasn't bad at all at work. I got to bring in my laptop because it's pretty slow and, even if I didn't really get anything I was 'proud of' by the end, I toyed around photoshop a lot. XD And listened to my music. That's the beauty of having the office for myself on Saturdays. ;)

Anyway, I was on a Finger Eleven kick today. And, the song I have under the link? Was on repeat for most of the day. I just <333 it. So I figured I'd post it before I head out. I'm going to the mall and possibly buying Twilight 'cause sigh. I don't think I can wait 'til the library gets a free copy. >.>
